Chevrolet Cars & Trucks

Formed in 1911 by racing driver Louis Chevrolet and the founder of General Motors, William C. Durant, Chevrolet became the volume heart of the GM family of brands. The famous bowtie emblem appeared early on as the company geared up to do battle with Henry Ford’s Model T. During World War II, the company churned out thousands of airplane engines; after the war, the small-block V8 started a legacy of compact, powerful engines that continues to this day. Chevrolet currently produces vehicles in nearly every segment — from the tiny Spark to the mighty Corvette, and in segments as diverse as EVs and hybrids (the Volt and Bolt) to full-size trucks and SUVs, such as the Suburban and Silverado.
